PhoneManager for Mac OS 8.6 - 9.x requires "Black Night Serial Tool" to be placed in the Extensions folder in your System folder. It can be downloaded from:
Without an operator logo the name of the current network operator is displayed as a text on the phone display. It is possible to upload logo to the phone that will be displayed instead of the name of the operator. If there is an operator logo already saved in the phone it will be replaced after uploading another one.
It is also possible to upload a logo for a different operator and if you travel to a foreign country or insert a different operator card the logo of the other operator will be displayed.
What is a flash SMS?
The text of a flash SMS is displayed on the phone screen immediately after receiving without the need to press any buttons on the phone.

Starting PhoneManager for the first time
SERIAL PORT (Keyspan) must be selected in the preferences window. The port must not be used by any other application.
Phonebooks from the phone and the SIM card must be loaded and their windows closed - for creating QuickFind and SMS senders' names databases.
Working with phonebooks
1. Download the phonebook from the SIM card/phone
2. Edit, add, delete entries (changes are not updated to the phone yet)
3. Update the phonebook in the SIM card/phone
4. SMS message can be sent to any recipient from a phonebook
- It is possible to save the phonebook to the disk for backup purposes and later download to the phone
- it is possible to export the phonebook as a tab-separated text file and work with it in a standard database software
Working with SMS messages
1. Download SMS messages from the phone
2. Read, delete, forward, reply (when deleting a message, it is immediately deleted from the phone)
3. Send a message anytime, recipent can be selected by draging from a phonebook, by using a QuickFind feature or simply by entering a number
- it is possible to save all SMS messages to the disk for archiving and later loading and sending to recipients (it is not possible to upload all saved SMS messages to their original folders in the phone, a message can be saved to the phone output folder)
- it is possible to export SMS messages as a tab-separated text file and work with it in a standard database software
Working with Logos
1. Logos can be downloaded from the phone and then edited in the built-in simple editor or in a standard graphics software and then uploaded back
2. Logos can be prepared in the built-in simple editor or in a standard graphics software and then uploaded to the phone
